A Fundraiser in Honor of Rick Dorian

Please join us in celebrating our outgoing Executive Director Rick Dorian by making a contribution to this fundraiser in honor of his seven years of service and dedication.

Rick has been a patient, kind, and compassionate leader at Maine Children's Home (MCH) for nearly eight years. Under his leadership, we increased the educational resources we offer to people who care for and work with children, making research-based and trauma-focused skills more accessible. We adapted our programs in response to the pandemic, offering remote services such as Telehealth counseling to clients in the organization’s Family Counseling Center and remote parenting and caregiver classes on Zoom. We expanded our local partnerships to serve the community and share social work expertise more fully. During Rick’s tenure MCH has thoughtfully evaluated and redesigned programs for impact and unique contributions as well as many vital improvements and updates to our campus.

Inside MCH, Rick has been a great supporter of a positive work culture. He's always had an "open door" policy, and helped to arrange team and leadership building skills for sustainable quality work.

We, the staff at MCH, will miss Rick's joyfulness and big heart on our campus, but we wish him the absolute best in the next chapter of his professional life. THANK YOU RICK!
